Call for Written Submissions
We are gearing up for our first performances here at Splug Central and part of our aim is to bring artists together across all areas of the arts to create new work. We’re doing this live and we’re doing it through the magic of the world wide internets. (Fancy!) To get people inspired and to add some structure to the submissions, we have given out a word as a guideline for each of the live performances. We are hoping that the website content will reflect this structure as well and the two words so far are:
RESCUE (for our September 28th performance)
and
COVET (for our October 12th performance)
and
COVET (for our October 12th performance)
So what has this got to do with you? All areas of the arts means all areas including all forms of written works. We’d love to have you involved and even if you aren’t in the NYC area, the information superhighway makes it possible for you to do so.
“Rock out! So what do I do? Just email you a file?” YES
“Where do I send it?” Hit us here.
“Okay, I’m interested, but I’m not really writing right now. I do have this piece from my portfolio that I think would work, though. Can I submit it?” YES
“Okay, I’m interested, but I might need an editor or someone to collaborate with to make it happen. Can you help me out?” YES - We’ll do our very best! Shoot us an email with your needs.
“Okay, I’m interested, but I am not a writer. Wait a second… my sibling/friend/co-worker/rabbit wrangler has a kick ass poem/essay/short story that I think would be perfect for this! Can I forward your information to them?” YES
